Laurel & Andrew - Montauk Club Wedding

Our client blog posts are full of ridiculously happy couples who are thrilled to be finally marrying the love of their lives. Today, join us on a trip to the splendid Montauk Club in Brooklyn to witness the joining of another pair of amazing humans: introducing Andrew and Laurel at their beautiful Brooklyn Wedding.

The journey began at Hotel Indigo where the couple, their bridesmaids and groomsmen were getting ready. We took some truly gorgeous photos of Laurel along with her four gorgeous bridesmaids. The bride’s designer Pronovias dress was classy with netted sleeves and a column of white beads trailing down the back. She also opted to wear Van high tops instead of heels! Who says you cant be comfortable at your wedding?

We learnt that the chic jewelry also had a lot of personal value: the ring on her right hand was actually a gift given to her ten years ago from Andrew. It was a beautiful sign of commitment and Laurel hardly ever takes it off. Moreover, the bronze bracelet adorning her hand was personally handmade by Andrew’s grandfather, Hugh.

Andrew – immaculately dressed in a tux and stylish printed tie – had the first look of his stunning bride at Brooklyn Bridge Park. We took beautiful photos of the couple under the brick arches and more of the whole group by the waterfront. The weather was fabulous and paired with dazzling and happy smiles, we got some great photos.

The couple soon made their way towards The Montauk Club and was joined by their family for the official ceremony. A smile brighter than the sun lit up Andrew’s face as he made his way down the aisle. With a soothing melody of flutes and violins in the background, Andrew and Laurel got married!

The wedding party proceeded downstairs to the reception, where food and music awaited them. Andrew and Laurel cut their delicious, sprinkled, and super Brooklyn wedding cake and we captured some precious memories as they took to the floor for their first dance. From the fabulous rehearsal dinner to the gorgeous reception, we at Wandermore Photography had a fantastic time working with this happy couple. Here’s to a beautiful future and many more amazing memories for Andrew and Laurel ahead.

Jenna & Josh - Mount Tremper Arts Wedding

Jenna and Josh's wedding is one for the books. Not only because it was an absolutely beautiful wedding, but because Jenna is an incredibly close friend of ours (and a great photographer herself!)  and Josh very quickly became a wonderful friend as well. They chose Mount Tremper Art as a way to give back and support artists. She's always putting other people before herself, even for her own wedding!

The day began with both of them getting ready at the venue, Josh at their farm house and Jenna at their cabin. Surrounded by their bridesmaids and groomsmen, they had a super relaxed atmosphere with a touch of "let's do this"! For extra flair, Josh put on crane cuff links and a tie bar to match the handmade crane backdrop at the ceremony, while Jenna put on her beaded floral wedding dress from BHLDN. After getting dressed, Josh went to meet Jenna for their first look in a wildflower field with mountains in the background. It was a gorgeous scene and a perfect place to see each other in an intimate a sweet moment.

Next up was the ceremony! Two close friends played guitars while they walked down the aisle. After reciting their insanely sweet vows for each other, they were officially married! They went outside for a fun bubble exit with all their friends and family, leading to cocktail hour and then their reception in the open tent space. They set out custom designed glasses for each guest to use and take home as gifts, and on each table setting there were handmade cranes to continue with the theme. Following was their first dance, happy toasts, and tons of dancing! It was such a lovely day and we were so honored to have the pleasure of capturing it. Wishing Josh and Jenna all the best wishes in their adventures together!

Dan & Jamie - Long Beach Proposal

With the cold starting to set in here in NYC, it's nice to take a look back at warmer days like this one! Dan had come to us saying he had a plan for his proposal, and there's nothing we love more than a man with a plan! Both Jamie and Dan are surfers and connected with the beach, so it seemed the perfect place.

Jamie's day began with a bit of a scavenger hunt, leading to a limo ride with champagne to enjoy. It dropped her off at the boardwalk where she was given rollerblades to skate her way down to the pier (she actually hadn't rollerbladed in years so hoped she wouldn't trip, and luckily she didn't!) By the pier, she was met by some of her closest girlfriends with balloons and a sign that said "Jamie Stop Here!" She was then told to head down to the beach. There by the water, Dan was waiting for her with a seashell ring box. After a few sweet words, popped the question and she said yes! :) We took a few photos of Dan and Jamie, then headed down the boardwalk for the last part of the surprise....all their family and friends waiting for them! Congrats to Dan and Jamie, you guys are so sweet and we wish you all the best!

Cynthia & Max - Troutbeck Wedding

Cynthia and Max’s wedding at Troutbeck was one to remember. Joy was in the air that day: the lush outdoor greenery combined with the sunny day and the delight radiating from two happy to-be-wed souls created a glorious atmosphere. In this blog we’ve put together some choice memories of the couple’s special day.

Cynthia and her girls had a great time getting ready. The beautiful bride had carefully put together the outfit of her dreams: a cream colored pair of espadrilles from Castenar’s bridal collection, and a dress by Oscar De La Renta. The couple’s shared love for the countryside reflected beautifully in the dress’s simple yet timeless, floral textured design. The outfit was completed with a pair of chic pearl earrings from Cynthia’s mother.

From getting ready to the reception, signs of countryside were everywhere. The whole venue was lovingly adorned in a romantic arrangement of countryside flowers. We gladly took advantage of the spectacular venue and took some lovely photos of the couple outside during formals. The bridesmaids were adorned in gorgeous shades of delicate pink; each with their own unique style and design.

Next we moved on to the ceremony where Cynthia and Max were officially declared as husband and wife. The joyous crowd showered the couple in rose petals as hand-in-hand they walked down the aisle.

There is one thing which sets Cynthia and Max’s wedding apart from all the others: the sincere effort which was put into the finest of details. Take for instance the wedding crest: the piece beautifully captures important symbols such as a leaping trout, for Troutbeck, and lupins which were inspired by the place where the couple got engaged. Lupins were scattered on the field in Iceland and the flower has been special for the couple ever since. Wildflowers are another addition to the design – Cynthia used to pick them from Max’s farm for her parties; she even made a crown of them for her 30th birthday.

The crest also had pheasants, which signified Max’s favorite fall hobby, pheasant hunting near the farm. On top of all that, the Friday invitation also includes images of Max’s family farm and farm animals.

Guests were greeted with a myriad of delicious food and drinks which included generous bottles of Perrier Jouet’s grand brut. From the timeless, antique candles above each table to the elegant way everything was arranged, we thoroughly enjoyed every bit of the spectacular wedding. Best wishes to Cynthia and Max from our whole team, as they embark upon their new journey.

Melanie & Sean - Sanctuary Hotel Wedding

What a beautiful and intimate wedding! Melanie and Sean had their special day at the Sanctuary Hotel in Manhattan. Although they currently live in Orlando, a lot of their family lives locally to New York so they decided to hold their wedding here. Not to mention they lived here for many years, so NYC is nothing new to them!

We began the day on the rooftop, where they had their first look. It was adorable how nervous Sean was, gripping his vow book, waiting patiently for his bride to turn the corner. Once he saw her, it was all smiles and laughter as they kissed and family surrounded them with hugs.

Afterwards, we headed out into the cold and over to Times Square for some couples photos! Melanie was running the show and making sure all the bases were covered, including a photo with Olaf and grabbing a New York hot dog! As we walked to the top of the TKTS stairs, the crowd began cheering for Melanie and Sean. After finishing up in Times Square, we came back to the rooftop for a few more couples photos (including a super sweet dance) and detail shots.

Melanie’s bouquet was so gorgeous, and reflected her love of reading with a few flowers made from Harry Potter pages! As a lover of Beauty and the Beast she of course had a Belle’s Library book as well, filled with poetry. In fact, she loves it so much that Sean had actually proposed to her at Disney World! He brought out a rose in a big glass container with the ring and a harpist played Tale As Old As Time. Then they watched the fireworks on a private balcony... so romantic! There were even more little details throughout the day that kept up with the theme, such as the Happily Ever After Cake topper and the cake utensils!

Where better to get married for a book lover than a library? The ceremony was held in Sanctuary Hotel’s beautiful library space, followed by dinner. We’re so excited for Melanie and Sean, wishing them a happy life filled with laughter!

Janelle & Kevin- Intimate Brooklyn Botanic Garden Wedding

There's just something about small and intimate wedding that we absolutely love! There's such a strong connection between the bride, groom, and family/friends. Janelle & Kevin held their adorable wedding at Brooklyn Botanic Garden by the Osborne Garden. It was perfect weather with gorgeous light, brisk morning air, and love! Janelle looked stunning in her dress and navy blue cardigan, keeping it simple and elegant. Kevin looked dashing in his navy suit as well! Of course, you can't forget those gorgeous florals by Rosewood Productions! Janelle had decided to go with the overgrown bouquet look for the more unconventional bride and we're so happy she did! The boutonnieres looked great as well and we're absolute suckers for those fall colors.

Congratulations to both of you and it was such a pleasure capturing your special day! Check out some photos from their wedding below. P.S. Janelle runs an amazing blog called Love Andrea, definetely check it out!
