Manoucheka & Jay - Dumbo Engagement

Such a fun session with Manoucheka & Jay! We started the day on the Brooklyn Bridge in traditional outfits from their island homes! Then we wandered around Brooklyn Bridge Park a bit. They were such troopers, willing to take off their coats every chance they got for great photos even though it was freezing outside! Congrats to you both!

Juztina & Justin - Brooklyn Winery Wedding

You know when you have so much to say but you can’t find the right words to say it? That’s how we felt working with Juztina and Justin. From the very beginning we instantly clicked and as time went on, we just kept finding out how even more awesome they were. Everything from playing a remixed song from Rick and Morty at their wedding, to smiling all the way through their engagement session even though it started to rain, to grabbing pizza and drinks with us right afterwards. There are so many levels to the awesome with these two. Because of this, instead of reading it we’ll just let you see how in love Juztina and Justin are and how amazing their wedding was!

Karla & Jeremy - The Green Building Wedding

Karla and Jeremy are one of the absolute sweetest couples we know. So a little backstory on them. Can you believe they actually went to the school for a year or so before they met - and even ended up in the same class?? They were then introduced by mutual friends and the rest is history.

When they asked us to photograph their wedding we were insanely hyped. Not only did we get to capture such an amazing couple’s special day, but we had a chance to work at The Green Building, a venue we’ve been in love with forever. Their day was filled with such pure love and so many emotions. We haven’t seen a couple go in on dancing that hard in a while and it was awesome! Congrats Karla and Jeremy! Check them out below <3

Kara & Randy - Brooklyn Winery Wedding

We had the absolute pleasure of capturing Kara and Randy’s beautiful day at Brooklyn Winery! The day began with Kara getting ready at their apartment! Surrounded by her close family, there was a calm and relaxed atmosphere as everyone got ready together. Kara couldn’t a grin of her face. Her gorgeous wedding dress had a low-cut V neck, and embroidery seamed at the shoulders giving it a timeless look. The custom cape was clasped to the back of her shoulders hinting at the design of regal Greek brides.

She also wore a combination of chic traditional and modern accessories. The pearl bracelet on her wrist was a gift from her mother and, her purse belonged to her grandmother Helena. Now, don’t think we’re leaving Randy out – he looked so suave in a tux a vivid shade of cobalt blue. His ice blue tie and charming smile were the only other adornments he needed to make him look amazing.

Clusters of flowers and greenery adorned the ceremony itself; a trail of pale pink rose petals were beautifully scattered along the aisle. Gentle, lilting music from a huge harp drifted from the front of the whole, lifting the atmosphere of the whole wedding. Kara’s brother, who’s also judge, officiated and a lovely and sweet ceremony followed! Randy and Kara left no leaf turned to show their hospitality throughout the day.

Platters upon platters of delicacies were served to the guest as well as an entire section dedicated to a “Brooklyn Boardwalk” themed table at the end of the night On a special note: the Polaroid used for taking the photos was actually vintage!

We had such an amazing time photographing Kara & Randy’s love for each other. A million thanks to them and wishing them all the best!!

Paola & Hector - Dumbo Engagement Session

Hector and Paola were both absolute sweethearts! The session took place near the Brooklyn Bridge Park area. From the first moment of meeting them, they were full of smiles and laughter and a great positive energy!

Full of excitement, we went to our first location which had a brick wall with a large and beautiful graffiti on it.

After that, we moved on to a location under the bridge.

We then began walking towards the riverside and found a relatively old model Saab car. The car seemed to work perfectly with them. :)

Once at the riverside, a beautiful sunset greeted us.

Hector and Paola are a delightfully cute couple, and we just captured the sweet moments they were having. We all had a great time and afterwards, they treated us to dinner after the session, which was very nice of them! :) Who doesn't like pizza! Thanks for an awesome experience you two! ❤

Chavi & Adam

Chavi and Adam were the winners of our couple’s photo session contest. I will start of by saying they were super adorable and a great couple to work with. They had beautiful chemistry between each other, which made our job hardly a job at all! A lot of candid and intimate moments were captured, and we hardly had to pose them. The session took place at Prospect Park.

After meeting up with Chavi and Adam, we jumped through a couple of different locations, starting with a tunnel underpass surrounded by trees and rocks.

We then went to our next location, which was a huge field of grass in the park. We told Chavi and Adam to sit in the grass and look at each other. Of course, partners can’t just “look” at each other. Smiling, laughing and having a good time ensued!

We then had them sit under a nearby tree.

After that, we moved to our last location for the evening. This was the highlight location of the photoshoot - A beautiful waterfall. Everything from Shakespear-esque moments to 1950s style romance were captured here.

"You're safe in my arms, my lady."

Casablanca anyone?

Many more intimate moments followed. These two were really a great couple and looked great together!

We moved a few meters away from the waterfall where there was a platform over-looking a boat house. Adam and Chavi displayed their classical dance skills at this point.

Finally, the day came to an end...

All I can say at the end of this is that Chavi and Adam were super awesome to work with. We were having a great time and the time completely flew by to the point where none of us minded staying a bit longer to finish capturing these amazing moments. We had so many great photos of them that the selection process afterwards was very difficult. Hopefully, we will have the pleasure of working with them in future and have an awesome time again!

Live more. Be More ❤
