Weddings don’t have to be super elaborate to be special! Mae & Matt got ready at Mae’s family home in Far Rockaway, surrounded by their closest family. With a little rain outside they did their first look down the staircase, it was so cozy and intimate. Then within just a few minutes, the skies cleared and we were able to make our way over to the beach for photos!
We then headed over to their hometown church for a lovely ceremony filled with many Phillipino traditions for Mae as well as paying homage to Matt’s heritage with bagpipes being played on entering and exiting! This was a true joining of two families together as one.
The reception was at a local caterers home (showing just how closely knit everyone is!) where everyone enjoying a delicious buffet style meal.
Their cake topper was a true testament to who they are as a couple because they bike together EVERYWHERE. To note, they got engaged on a cycling trip in Tuscany. And in a true Wandermore fashion, the two ubered straight from the wedding to JFK for their honeymoon in Greenland! It was such a pleasure capturing their amazing and intimate day, congrats Mae & Matt!
