We had such an amazing time creating this styled wedding shoot, with a fantastic team of vendors. Our wedding planner, Alison Semmler of Lifestyle Maven Events, wrote up a lovely paragraph speaking all about it and we couldn't have said it better ourselves!
"We had the privilege to have off-season access to Governor's Island which is a tiny island located in between lower Manhattan and Brooklyn, New York. The island has an old fort, lots of history and an abundance of beautiful skyline views of New York City. We wanted to honor that history but also use the beautiful industrial details in the space to feature a shoot that was both feminine and moody. To accomplish that look we used textiles that were handmade, vibrant flowers that were a nice departure from blushes and whites, a watercolor painting that featured bold and moody colors and brought warmth into the space by hanging lighting and using plenty of candles. As elopements grow in popularity, we wanted to show couples that an elopement can still be beautiful and romantic."
Check out the end of the blog post for all the vendors involved!
Special thanks to these amazing vendors for contributing their time and making this shoot amazing!
