What an interesting turn of events with this session! Hannah had found us through our facebook page and absolutely fell in love with our work. She let us know that she wanted to capture her NYC trip with Wesley, as they were visiting all the way from Ontario, Canada. They’d always wanted to come during the holiday season and go see amazing sites like the gorgeous Rockefeller Christmas tree. Of course, what better place to do a very wintery New York City couples session than Central Park?
Once we met up, Hannah dropped the news on us. Wesley had actually proposed to her that very morning at One World Trade Center! What!? And just like that, our couples session turned into an engagement session. We couldn’t be happier for the two of them!
We walked around The Pond and Gapstow Bridge, then headed over to The Mall and Bethesda Terrace. At every turn there was another perfect photo spot. Wesley also got a whole lot of practice dramatically dipping Hannah! There was one particular spot that felt super special. Hannah and Wesley ran up to the bridge above Bethesda Fountain to check out the views and I was below, taking photos of them. Within a few seconds of shooting, I noticed the moon glowing right behind them! It was absolutely beautiful and made me think of that good ole song “when the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie, that’s amore”
It was such a beautiful day to take photos in the park and we ended off with some gorgeous sunset views. Hannah and Wesley went back home to Canada and I went back home to Brooklyn. We then got even more amazing news. They loved their photos so much they want us to shoot their wedding! We’re absolutely ecstatic and can’t wait to shoot their special day. Congrats to both of you!
